Nathalie Fari developed this soundperformance (created as a serie) in the context of the exposition "Die Verwandlung" that happened at Hotel 25 in June 2010. For this occasion she invited the german multiinstrumentalist Bernhard Reiss.
Nathalie Fari from São Paulo, Brazil works at the interface between performing and visual arts. She has presented her site specific and often collaborative performances since 1997 at different places, expositions and festivals. In 2004 she moved to Berlin, where she completed a master degree in "Space Strategies" at the Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin.
In this minimalistic and sometimes quiet work the artists take a critical look at today‘s informational and sensual overflow. People are increasingly being driven beyond their limits without being offered any shelter. Verstilling #1 creates such a temporary „place of refuge“ where each person can look back over time.
